ZKsync Twitter Account Compromised in Fake Airdrop Scam
The official Twitter account of zksync was hacked to promote a fraudulent token airdrop. The attackers posted a link to a suspicious website, ’distribution-zksync.io,’ claiming users could claim a share of the initial token supply. The post remained active for 15 minutes before being deleted.
No official statement has been released by ZKsync confirming the breach. Security experts urge users to avoid interacting with unverified links, as social media breaches targeting crypto projects are becoming increasingly common.
Despite the incident, the ZK token price has shown no immediate significant reaction. However, the long-term impact on user trust remains uncertain.
